How long will my spiders be updated for from when i purchased the product.”

ANSWER:

When you purchase WordPress Cloaker, you are given our basic spider package which contains I think around 19,000 spider IPs. This is more spiders than most other commercial lists you could get your hands without paying more than $350.

Update Spider Bots Manually

You can update this list manually by adding IPs to it, subscribing to spider IP lists etc, but honestly, there is really no free solution that is worth a darn out there. If you use spiderspy or something like that, you’ll pay $350/yr for updates and their list is somewhere around 13,000-15,000 IPs I think, give or take.

I was charging $10/mo for my updates but as of this weekend, I am now offering lifetime updates across unlimited domains for $97 – flat cost for a single user.

Our master list grows daily, gets posted every 4-hours and is up to 138,000 IPs now. Really a must have!

As of Friday, 77% of our customers were subscribers. After the price change and special offer, about 94% of our users are on board with this solution.

“How do i suscribe for the monthly update program?”

Yes, I know this may sound like a scripted question but, its not :) All our Q&A are actual questions from our customers’ lips…

ANSWER:

You can purchase that here: http://bumblesoft.com/go/ipupdates

For the next 24-hours or so there is still a 50% off offer using coupon code:

IPS4LIFE

That coupon was offered Friday and expires Monday, 11-02-2009.

Summary

THE most important step if you want to cloak without getting caught! GET A GOOD LIST that is UPDATED REGULARY!

Here is the ultimate list of ping sites. I say ultimate because it is actually BETTER than having a full list of 50 or 100 ping sites out there.

http://rpc.pingomatic.com

http://www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates

http://ping.myblog.jp

http://ping.bloggers.jp/rpc/

http://bblog.com/ping.php

The reason this short list is better than the long lists you can find out there is that this list is compiled of just a handful of multiple ping services that cover most of the important ping services out there but in a short list.

This is also a better list because most of the long lists inadvertently lead you to double ping the same ping sites multiple times and can get you banned from those sites.

For example, if you ping ping-o-matic AND feedburnder at the same time, you end up pinging feedburner TWICE!

Not good.

Feedburner could ban your IP/domain for overdoing it.

But, if you use the common “ultimate” or “all inclusive” lists you may find on the web and ping those, you may end up pinging Feedburnder 5 or 10 times. Woooah!! Definitely not good.

This is why many people have found pinging less effective in the past couple years. Mainly because so many people have been doing it WRONG.

Try the above list.

To use it in WordPress, simply go to:

‘Admin Panel > Settings > Writing > Update Services’

…and, enter the above ping services.

‘Save’

You’re done!

And, Congratulations, you NOW have the ULTIMATE ping list setup for your WordPress blog!

Google and other major Search Engines typically create a cached version of each page they spider. You can see a link to Google’s cached version of each page directly underneath the listing of each page from withing the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).

Note: See highlighted yellow in the photo below.

See below solutions:

You can use the meta noarchive tag which will instruct search engine spiders NOT to create a cached version of the page.

All Purpose No Cache Meta Tags:

Google Specific No Cache Meta Tags:

Yahoo Specific No Cache Meta Tags:

MSN Specific No Cache Meta Tags:

TEOMA Specific No Cache Meta Tags:

I’ve used the All-purpose solution from above without much problem for years.

How important is doing this? In my opinion, VERY! I do it 100% of the time…
